The cancer fighting benefits of beet juice

The cancer fighting benefits of beet juice
Beet Juice News(NaturalHealth365) Did you know that the benefits of beet juice include fighting cancer? In fact, beetroots have been used as a treatment for cancer in Europe for centuries. The modern interest in using beetroot as a treatment for cancer started in the 1920’s when two German doctors by the name of Farberse and Schoenenberger used beetroot to treat cancer patients.
In the early 1930’s, a Hungarian professor carried out experiments to show that beetroots improved the health of cancer patients.
So how does beet juice help to kill cancer cells?
Beet juice helps to detoxify as well as protect our cells with much needed (easily absorbed) nutrients and oxygen. Even athletes are beginning to understand the importance of nutrient dense liquids by incorporating beet juice into their training routines for better physical performance.
Some breakthrough studies have shown that the same characteristics in beets – which help athletes perform better – help cancer patients reverse their condition. The link between oxygen and cancer is well known and beets can increase oxygen, within the blood, by 400 percent while helping to eliminate waste products.
The Ferenczi’s Effect is named after the man that discovered a tumor-inhibiting effect of a flavonoid (betazyane) in beets – which proved that beets have the ability to increase oxygen intake within the cells, while protecting the levels of vitamin C – another great anti-cancer nutrient.
One of the anti-tumor effects of beetroot juice is explained by its high iron content, designed to regenerate red blood corpuscles that supply cancer cells with more oxygen. This higher oxygen content improves cellular respiration – which helps to kill cancer cells.
Beets are considered one of be best cleansing foods, and their main accomplishment in that regard is they detoxify the kidneys, liver and lymph system – while promoting the regeneration of new (healthy) cells.
Building up your health with beet juice
Beet juice improves the function of many systems in the body, and by doing this the body is able to prevent and reverse many health conditions – including cancer. Beet juice prevents and treats anemia; it improves lymphatic circulation; supports liver function and helps to get rid of fatigue issues.
Beets are an excellent source of calcium, iron, vitamins A and C, folic acid, manganese, potassium and betaine – which gives beetroots their purple color. The main function of betaine is to reduce the concentrations of homocysteine in the body.
A high homocysteine level is thought to cause atherosclerosis, and osteoporosis, while harming the blood vessels. Remember, when your homocysteine levels are too high – your risk for disease is higher due to an increase in cellular inflammation.
In addition, high levels of homocysteine contribute to the rising rates of heart disease, stroke, dementia and peripheral vascular disease, while high levels are often found in breast and colon cancer patients.
Betaine helps the liver and kidneys recycle the amino acid methionine in order to maintain the body’s store of SAM-e, which is used in the body for cellular growth and repair and both of these are necessary for keeping the cells dividing in a healthy manner.
SAM-e is involved in the biosynthesis of several hormones and neurotransmitters that affect mood, and studies have shown that the elderly who suffer from osteoarthritis, depression and liver disorders usually have low levels of SAM-e.
Betaine also helps the liver process fat preventing the accumulation of fat in the liver. A fatty liver keeps the liver from functioning as it should. And, as we all know, the liver is our first line of defense against cancer and it has to be functioning properly to prevent and help reverse any cancerous condition.
If you want to kill cancer – change your bio-terrain
With all the cutting edge nutrients out there, science has proven (beyond a shadow of a doubt) that beet juice is a powerful promoter of optimal health. It has the ability to promote longevity at the cellular level. With its cardiovascular and immune protective benefits – beet juice delivers invaluable benefits for those that consume it.
Don’t let conventional medicine brainwash you into believing your only choice is surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. There is a world of science to prove that a healthy mindset, nutrient dense foods and a strong immune system are the best ways to defeat cancer.
Keep in mind, beetroot is such a powerful detoxifier that it is advised not to drink it straight but mix it with other juices to soften its effect. Beet, carrot, apple is a delicious way to get started. Naturally, when dealing with cancer, it’s always smart to work with a trusted, healthcare provider.
If you want to learn more about the joys of juicing – I suggest you look up the work of Jay and Linda Kordich. In fact, I know Jonathan Landsman has done many programs with Jay and Linda within the NaturalNews Inner Circle. Jay and Linda are a true gift to our world!

PILES

A pile is often feared as the tumour of the anus. Actually, a pile is not tumourous and not dangerous. It is a simple enlarged / engorged blood vessel(s) of the anus. It is also called hemorrhoids in medical terminology. It is the dilatation (varicosity) of the haemorrhoidal plexus (veins of anus). It appears as bluish or purple colored swellings due to stagnated blood. Piles may cause symptoms like bleeding, itching, pain and lump feeling in the anus.
For the cure of piles-: Take equal quantities each of garlic, neem seed, asafoetida and dry ginger, pound and mix them well and grind them with a little water, form into i inch size tablets dry them in shade and store them. Take 1-2 tablets morning and evening together with water for a few days.

Ginger is also useful in this disease. Combine half a teaspoon of fresh ginger juice, one teaspoon each of fresh lime juice and fresh mint juice and a tablespoon of honey and take it.
Three of four figs should be soaked overnight in water after being cleaned thoroughly in hot water. They should be taken first thing in the morning along with the water in which they were soaked. They should also be taken in evening in the similar manner. This treatment should be continued for three or four weeks. The tiny seeds of the fruit possess all excellent quality of stimulating peristaltic movement of the intestines. This facilitates easy evacuation of faeces and keeps the alimentary canal clean. The pressure on the anus thus being relieved, the hemorrhoids also contract.
Radish juice should be taken twice a day, once in the morning and then later in the night. Initially drink about ¼ cup of radish juice and then gradually increase it to ½ cup.

Eat 5 Walnuts And Wait 4 Hours: This Is What Will Happen To You!

Eat 5 Walnuts And Wait 4 Hours: This Is What Will Happen To You!

walnutsDo you enjoy eating walnuts often? You may be helping your heart without even realizing it.
New research shows that eating a handful of walnuts a day protects the body against heart disease. Eating walnuts regularly can decrease your risk and provide permanent protection from heart disease. This research also shows us that there is an improvement in cholesterol levels and the flexibility of blood vessels that helps blood flow, just four hours after eating walnuts.
Walnuts contain alpha-linolenic acid or ALA, an omega-3 fatty acid that is similar to those found in heart-smart fish, like salmon. ALA has some heart-healthy effects, independent of the cholesterol-lowering effects. Previous studies show that they reduce the risk of sudden death from dangerous abnormal heart rhythms.
The linoleic acid diet and alpha-linolenic acid diet are high in polyunsaturated fats. Substituting dietary saturated fats with these good polyunsaturated fats lowers bad cholesterol. C-reactive protein levels dropped about 75 percent when patients consume diets that are rich in ALA, and decreased about 45 percent when they were on the linoleic acid.

AYURVEDIC HERBS TO ENHANCE BRAIN POWER

Four Ayurvedic Herbs to Enhance Brain Power Naturally
In this age of day-by-day increasing mental stress, strain and cut-throat competition, we are finding it more and more difficult to cope with the pressures of day to day life. Ayurveda claims at not only increasing the powers of the brain but also at keeping the mental diseases away, along with helping to cure them desirably.
It is believed that a number of the diseases have their root in the brain of an individual. That is one of the reasons why the number of psychological and neurological cases is on the increase.
Ayurveda Dosha Healing and Mental Balance
According to Ayurveda text, the balance of the three body humors viz. air, fire and phlegm or the Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas when gets disturbed, tends to manifest itself both in somatic as well as psychic spheres.
Vitiation of the Vata dosha destroys mental sense and gives rise to grief and infatuation.
When the Pitta dosha or the fire humor of the body gets aggravated beyond its normal limits, may lead to mental states of fear, lust and grief.
Similarly, imbalance in Kapha causes lethargy and in-discrimination.
These dosha imbalances disturb both the body as well as the mind. Although the predominant factor in case of mental disturbances is believed to be an increase and imbalance in the two mental states of the brain viz. Rajas and Tamas. These two states are ascribed to Iccha (Desire) and Dwesha (Repulsion). It is believed that when these states of mind tend to cross the limits set by social norms and values; they tend to excite the basic humors of the body resulting into degeneration of the brain powers and birth of mental diseases.
Ayurveda Herbs as Brain Tonics
1. Shankhpushpi
There is a herb named as Shankhpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis) which is one of the nature’s precise answers to the brain weakness. It has been used since ages in Ayurveda therapy to sharpen intellect and increase the mental powers, as it has a cooling, calming and subsiding action on the brain. Shankhpushpi is believed to be a Medhya Rasyana (Brain tonic) in Ayurveda and it is a rejuvenator par excellence. One teaspoonful of the powder of this herb is to be taken twice daily along with a cup of milk. It could prove beneficial in maladies like insomnia, anxiety, everyday stress, and loss of memory, anorexia nervosa and lethargy.
2. Brahmi
Brahmi (Centella asiatica) is another useful brain tonic. It can be taken in powder or paste form along with milk. You could also extract juice by pounding the fresh herb and take it once or twice in a dose of 20-ml approx. Though useful for all ages, it is a boon for students as it increases the intellect and helps undo stress and strain. Powder of this herb taken along with powdered herbs of Shatavari (Asparagus) and Ashwagandha (Winter Cherry) aids in reducing the aggravated Pitta or fire in the system and thus gives a calming effect to the brain. It is also a good cure for bilious headaches.
3. Jatamansi
Roots of the herb of Jatamansi (Nordostachys jatamansi) helps to tone up the brain and stabilizes mental abilities. It is another excellent restorative as it helps to subside all the three body humors. It thus has a specific action on the nervous system and aids in curing a number of mental diseases like hysteria, depression, insomnia, epilepsy and loss of memory. It has also shown results in hypertension.
4. Shatavari

Another herb by the name of Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) is a body and brain rejuvenator and good for intellect. All the more, it helps undo the everyday strain and induces sound sleep. This can be taken in powder form in a dose of 3 to 5 grams along with milk or mixed into equal amount of honey. Also, some medicinal preparations of the herb are available like Shatavari Gritha, which can be taken a teaspoonful at bedtime along with warm milk. Regular use of the same for sometime helps fight mental stress, exhaustion and fatigue. It aids in increasing the eyesight and mental faculties as well.
Ayurveda Recommends Lifestyle Modifications
The daily diet intake should be regularized in means of proper timing as well as nutritional balance. Try avoiding oily, heavy and spicy meals in your routine. Fresh juices, fibrous foods, raw green vegetables and garden herbs provide with ample supply of anti oxidants and resistance boosters. A good amount of water intake is also a must.
A sound mind dwells in a sound body. It is therefore essential to keep the body fit and healthy in order to develop better intellect. A regular exercise schedule or walks in fresh air especially in the early sunrise could do wonders.
Sound sleep for eight hours is your daily rest requirement for the proper functioning and recharging of your brain powers.
Make a daily work list and try to handle problems one by one, as it would be rather difficult to cope up with the accumulation.
It is equally important to stay involved and seek for counseling whenever required.
Massage of the scalp and soles of the feet with sesame seed oil is also suggested.
Cow’s ghee is quite beneficial for the brain. It should be included in daily diet and can also be inhaled through the nostrils.
So fresh and so clean.

7 Ways to Lower Your Blood Pressure without Medication

7 Ways to Lower Your Blood Pressure without Medication

1. Invest in a home blood pressure monitor.
It is wise to monitor your blood pressure at home, as well as your doctor’s office. Combining your readings with your doctor’s will provide a better measure of your high blood pressure and treatment to control it. Also, home monitoring will rule out if you suffer from “white coat hypertension”. Ideally, monitor your blood pressure at the same time every day.
2. Increase your potassium intake.
Potassium works to balance out the sodium in your diet. An adequate potassium intake can lower systolic pressure and diastolic pressure. Some good potassium sources include cantaloupe, bananas, dates, nuts, oranges, and green leafy vegetables. If you are taking diuretics (i.e. water pills) to lower blood pressure, the excess urination can cause loss of potassium for some diuretics.
3. Reduce caffeine intake.
Limit caffeine from tea, coffee, soda, sports drinks, and chocolate to maintain healthy blood pressure levels. Caffeine can lead to short, but significant increases in blood pressure.
4. Manage stress.
Coping strategies to deal with stress can promote high blood pressure levels, such as overeating, smoking, and increased alcohol consumption. Implement stress management strategies to avoid these pitfalls.
5. Eat a diet rich in magnesium.
Research has shown an inverse relationship between magnesium and blood pressure. Individuals with a high magnesium intake, typically have a low blood pressure. Some good sources of magnesium include peas, beans, whole grains, nuts, seeds, Lima beans, squash, broccoli, spinach, and seafood. Learn more about and implement the DASH diet to consume adequate levels of potassium and magnesium daily. For greatest success, implement changes gradually versus all at once.
6. Get adequate sleep.
Research indicates insomnia may be linked to high blood pressure. Take steps to protect your sleep, such as going to bed and getting up at the same time every day (even on weekends), power down for one hour before bed (meaning no electronic devices), and have a regular bedtime ritual.
7. Lose weight.
Being overweight or obese increases your risk for high blood pressure. As you gain weight, your blood pressure tends to rise. Weight loss of only ten pounds can positively impact blood pressure levels. Overweight is defined as a BMI of 25 to 29.9 and obesity is a BMI equal to or greater than 30.

This recipe is full of amazing spices, not only in taste, but for your health as well. This easy to prepare recipe will help to speed your metabolism and positively affect your overall health, all from the superstar spices – cinnamon and clove.
Cinnamon is considered anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial and is also considered to help regulate blood sugar levels. Because it helps to slow the rate at which the stomach empties after meals, this aids in reducing blood sugar surges after meals.
It’s also been shown to stimulate insulin receptors and inhibit the enzyme that inactivates them, which in turn increases the cells ability to use glucose efficiently.
Not to mention that cinnamon is a very powerful antioxidant!
When it comes to health benefits, clove is not far behind. Cloves are a good source of vitamins, minerals and fiber. They’ve also been shown to be beneficial in fighting fungus, bacteria and yeast (that includes candida). They also contain health-promoting antioxidants!
In addition, cloves may aid in stomach bloating and gas, due to their ability to reduce pressure and help to carry out toxins through elimination. Clove oil is also said to be a great natural healer for oral health, relieving toothaches and sore gums in particular.
